The Realm of Ethea

When folk in the series speak about the Realm, they mean the whole world.

The Realm Ethea is a pretty big world.

Far far bigger then the Earth. It has many different cultures, many different landscapes and also alot of monsters and creatures.

Ethea is also full of legends and ruins from old ancient cultures, and it has also stories about the Gods and the creation of Ethea itself.

The Realm of Ethea doesnt only have humans, it has many other strange and facinating races. Such as Dwarfs, Halflings, Grey elves, Orcs, Kobolds, Goblins, Trolls and much much more. Some are neutral, some are elusive, some are dangerous and some are evil.

Besides the races there is also a great variaty of undead, and offcourse animals and other wonderful creatures.

The Realm has many different things and can offer a good deal of variety.

It is set up that others can create their own stories, their own countries or kingdoms and add them into the Realm. We wil get to this part in another page of this site.

But let us dvelve abit deeper into some of the tales of Ethea.

But there is more to the story.

Here follows the War of Creation

Thus the world of Ethea was created amongst many other worlds. None of the worlds so far was as beauty and perfect as Ethea. It shined like a diamond in the vast of the dark. The world was formed by shape from Irdos. God of the Earth. The sky and clouds were painted by the goddess Airies. The water and its movement was woven by the goddess Rinna.
The god Fiur blew the life of spark and willpower into all the living creatures, but he could not behold all of his achievements, as the depths needed fire to keep the earth warm. Fiur was displeased by this, claiming that this should not be his main task.
But, the god of darkness Ulduhr, was the most displeased one, and his envy grew. He had the most pitty task of them all. To create darkness. Why was he appointed this task? His powers were far more greater then any of the other gods.

Ulduhr saw that Fiur also was not happy with his task, and started to pour lies into his ears. Whispering and backtalking the other gods. Telling Fiur that his powers also were immensely great too.
Together in secret they created mighty titan monsters, with powers to do damage to the other gods. As soon as Illuvar left out in the great space of time, they attacked. Irdos, Airies and Rinna was taken by surprise and in their panick they created counter-attack beings. The war had started, the war for Ethea.

Then, the last god appeared, the god of death. This god was not known to the others gods, but Baahn was neutral. He only cared about the deceased. But the coming of Baahn made Illuvar return.
Illuvar was mad, angry and dissapointed.
He banished Fiur to live in his realm of eternal flame and heat. But before he could banish Ulduhr, he escaped into the vastness of the dark space.
Illuvar had to ensure that this war never would happen again, and created a seal between light and dark. Containing the god of darkness in his shadow realm forever if possible. Ethea was almost destroyed and it was filled with creatures Illuvar did not forsee.

He left a task to the other gods to take care of these creatures how they see fit. Over time some creatures vanished by themselves, some evolved into other, and some mysteriously dissapeared. These creatures are now called legendary. Many believe they wil once return and take sides of their masters, to once battle the final war of wars.

Ethea became over time once again a shining diamond in the dark. Many ages later the first civilized race appeared, the Ildar. This race was later being called the Elves by common tongue. Then ages later other races rise and came to be.
This tale is known later by all races as the war of the creation.

These are the main Gods in Ethea, but after the war there are also lesser deities and other god-like creatures that can roam the Realm. Some of these lesser gods are cultivated, and believed in by many. It is also said that each god has its own Avatar.

These Avatars are believed to roam the lands of Ethea.
