Hello, and welcome to my page! The A R C A N E Shaders
Firstly, let me tell you a bit about myself: I'm half Dutch and half Norwegian. I live in Norway and I'm the oldest shader developer of them all.
I started playing Minecraft when it was still in Beta, and it's the only game I've never become bored of. When I first saw someone using shaders in Minecraft, I fell in love with it. Shaders give a whole new look and experience to Minecraft, and I badly wanted to use them on my old laptop. Sadly, shaders require a decent graphics card and it helps if you have a good processor too.
I first started looking at some shader codes in 2014, when I purchased a new laptop that could finally handle shaders. Then, in 2015, I came into contact with the shader developer Robobo1221. He taught me much more about GLSL. I'm still learning and there is plenty more to learn. Arcane Shaders are not my first shaders; the first few were called "Triliton's Shaders."
I felt as if I was stuck with my old code and I needed a fresh new rewrite. So this is it. If you ever want to start coding GLSL, start with a base to work off of. That's the easiest way to begin. Some developers use Chocapic13's shaders as a base, but more and more are using Robobo1221 shaders as a base nowadays.
These shaders are based of neither one of them.
If you do want to start with a base, be sure to ask for the original developer's permission first.
